HD Mechanic/Component Rebuilder – Edmonton Shop

Specific Accountabilities:
The Mining Equipment Component Rebuilder will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of various equipment components. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Job Qualifications:
Formal Education

• Journeyman Certificate
• High School Diploma

Work Experience

• 2 years experience
• Previous mining industry experience would be preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment/mining equipment considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, and inspect equipment components to determine the necessary repairs.
• Perform repairs and rebuilds of components, including final drives, transmissions, hydraulics, wheel groups, and other mechanical parts.
• Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Conduct tests and inspections to ensure rebuilt components meet or exceed OEM specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities
• Possession of a valid drivers license
• Proven safety training and exceptional safety record.
• Safety conscious, respectful and sound work ethic.

• Shift Rotation: Mon-Fri
