HD Mechanic/Component Rebuilder – Edmonton Shop
Specific Accountabilities:
The Mining Equipment Component Rebuilder will be responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of various equipment components. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Job Qualifications:
Formal Education
- Journeyman Certificate
- High School Diploma
Work Experience
- 2 years experience
- Previous mining industry experience would be preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment/mining equipment considered an asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, and inspect equipment components to determine the necessary repairs.
- Perform repairs and rebuilds of components, including final drives, transmissions, hydraulics, wheel groups, and other mechanical parts.
- Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct tests and inspections to ensure rebuilt components meet or exceed OEM specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities
- Possession of a valid drivers license
- Proven safety training and exceptional safety record.
- Safety conscious, respectful and sound work ethic.
