Fort McMurray Festival of Trees

On November 15, more than 8,500 guests started off the holiday season at the Festival of Trees Gala in Fort McMurray. The 30th annual event raised over $650,000 for the Northern Lights Health Foundation.

KMC took part in the festivities by donating a ‘Santa’s Workshop’ themed tree overflowing with kids’ toys. The KMC tree garnered considerable buzz and, at auction time, the tree sold for an astounding $42,000. Two generous bidders each donated $21,000 and then requested the tree be given to the Hub Family Resource Centre.
